PRE AND POST-SEASON OPTIONAL SESSIONS AND INFORMATION
Youth: Aside from the travel and non-travel team opportunities, the high school coaching staff often offers clinics for players, new and returning, to improve their game.
K-12th: Our WILD WEDNESDAYS SUMMER CLINIC SESSIONS are still going on! With 5 sessions left, you can STILL REGISTER! Open to all players in K-12 of any level. These are great opportunities for new players to start with others in a small groups to learn the fundamentals to decide if it is something you want to pursue as well as returning players who want to keep elevating their fundamental skills regardless of experience and keep you in touch and continuing to build on TEAM mentality with your peers, even those who are doing travel ball.
3rd-12th: Check out our SHOOTING CLINIC information. Regardless of position you think you will be playing, shooting techniques help ALL players.
Ages 6-18: Club program, Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse, are holding registrations for the Green Monsters (non-travel program for ages 6-11) AND tryouts for 10-18years Travel Team Programs! Details HERE!
High School: Strength training for the team begins Monday, July 26, and will be held every Monday and Wednesday, 11am-12pm, through the end of August.
K-8th: September 12th and 19th: FREE youth clinic (K-8th grades) at the stadium, hosted by the high school players. Details to come soon.
STICKWORK FOR ALL PLAYERS IS YOUR PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AS A TEAM MEMBER:
Find at least 20 minutes for wall ball (or rebounder work) at the minimum 4 days a week, more time is highly suggested! There is no way to control the ball if you cannot pass and catch efficiently. Nothing will help you improve stick skills than wall ball/rebounder work. No matter what level of player you are, you cannot advance any further without continued - regular stick work. PUT THE TIME IN!
Shoot (if you have a goal or rebounder) - it does not matter what position you play, practicing your shooting helps with passing and catching. Besides that, you never know when your position could change. ALWAYS BE READY FOR ANYTHING!
